Last weekend, Lake McDonald- completely enchanting day!
Squatting along the bank of the lake
feeling the presence of life around me
breathing the pristine air
thoughts
sink
like stones tossed into a lake
settling
deep
to gone
stillness completely saturates
my being
this may be one of the moments
I remember my entire lifetime
sunset arrives
lighting ice
in amber hues
That first picture is absolutely fantastic.

That first photo should be in a travel book. It's amazing!
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your poem. I can imagine being there (mmmm) from your calming words.
Is that ice?! I love the second photo! Makes you sop and pause and think about what it is! Cool!
ReplyDeleteI love the ice picture...my first thought was little ice soldiers lined up in formation...maybe fighting against the approaching spring? I hope so...as beautiful as your winter photos are I cant wait until I see some warm weather ones!
ReplyDeleteYour photography and your poetry are so breathtaking, I want to swim in them :)

ReplyDeleteMagical, indeed. Your picture of the glacier ice reminds me of the cave where, according to some legends, Merlin was held captive by Morgana. It sounds like you had a lovely day. I hope your week is off to an excellent start.
