Tis a time of celebration
welcoming of a new season
today clouds threaten to take over
yet the sun comes out to play from time to time
showing a grand blue sky!
These pictures were taken one after the other
you can see
we have a moody day!

Yes I had to wear my winter boots to get to the pond
sinking a foot and more in the soft melting snow.
Still the bridge where I ate my lunch was dry,
the day warm enough to be barefoot as I
enjoyed my salad with salmon.
Today is the first day I sat outside eating lunch,
perfect on Spring's Equinox!

ReplyDeleteWhat a blue sky when it is blue. It is hard to imagine when seeing it that the other scene is the same day.
ReplyDeleteLove that sky. Lunch doesn't sound bad either...
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely blue sky and fluffy clouds - I love the snow photo as well. Thanks for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteAmazing blue in that first shot! Stunning! Amazing what a change in perspective will do for a shot. Truly amazing.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures. WOW Can feel spring in your pictures more than here in Florida
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, delightful poems -- thank you for sharing the beauty of your world.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful spring equinox post! The views are gorgeous. I am glad you had a picnic.
ReplyDeleteThe sun came out, disappeared, and came out again. So nice!
Looks as though Montana is having snow melt, too. Happy spring!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your visit to my hearts. I looked at your Valentines heart - I love the way each ice crystal has a different shape and sparkle, together making a heart. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, glad it was warm enough for your lunch outside. Today is the first day of spring, I forgot all about it. Thanks for reminding me. I did however go for a hike and it was warm and partly cloudy, beautiful day. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeletemmmmm..... salmon! doesn't get much better than that!
ReplyDeleteWe haven't quite had a picnic day yet, but I'm hoping...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blue sky, but clouds are beautiful, too.
Love the snow, Soon it will be gone and you have to wait for another year. Meanwhile, there is so much, unruin by foot steps.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful. I love the blue blue sky and the lovely house in the snow!
ReplyDeleteA lovely way to spend the day - we dug a *few* of the holes for the orchard expansion - Huzzah!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Tammie - don't you love how blue the sky is out here!!! You are right - there is still lots of snow there!! IT sure is pretty though!

That sky cheered me, too! Hope you enjoyed your spring picnic!
ReplyDeleteTammie, every time I come here I think it can't get better...but you always amaze me with the beauty you share...in photos and in the words you write so that we can be there too...thanks!
ReplyDeleteLike a salmon, exploring the depths and currents of the ocean, and bringing back to land the essence of what it learned and retrieved, gifting a new generation the knowledge that it gleaned. We are all just symbols and monuments of feelings forgotten or celebrated along our way.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blue skies and I love the snowy photo. It definitely is a special time of year. I can't get outside enough. Thank you for sharing. Happy Spring and have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteSmiles
Oh, isnt it wonderful to enjoy your meals out in nature. I really love sitting outside in the summer, and enjoying a lunch with fresh veggies from the garden. Mmmmm.....
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the process of spring. :)
Tammie,
ReplyDeleteWOW that sky is a magically shade of blue. Gorgous. Smiles B
Such a lovely place. Hint of a reflection on melted ice and smoke coming out of stovepipe adds intrest to it. Me like! Happy SWF!
ReplyDeleteLove the puffy clouds!
ReplyDeleteWe had a snowstorm here to help bring in spring. It cannot come fast enough! It is supposed to be warm this weekend though.
ReplyDeleteSo much beauty where you live and once again...I LOVE your photos:)
ReplyDeleteYou captured a perfect Spring day in your first photo. Even the snow in the second photo appears warmer now that spring has arrived.
ReplyDeleteTammie Lee: My, your area doesn't look anything like Spring. At least you are starting to melt your way out. Neat sky photo on your trip outdoors.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoyed your first lunch out in this new spring! I can't wait to go out for picnics to take my mind off things but it would never be in such a perfect setting! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThat snowy photo and the idea of bare feet made me shiver! lol :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, beautiful. I went to visit your Valentine Heart, posted on Valentine's Day, and was just so blessed with your photography.
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely, healing somehow.
Thank you for sharing!
Your pictures are lovely. If you look in the foreground of the last one it looks like ice ferns growing.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your visit and comment SWF. Have a good Harmony Day.
That is a great way to spend the first day of spring. Beautiful surroundings with vibrant colors captured so well. Enjoy spring and thanks for visiting and leaving such a nice comment on my SWF post...

ReplyDeleteOnly a few patches of snow left on the earth here ... a wind whipped up this afternoon and it brought a chill with it ... there were snow flurries here about 5-minutes ago ... now the sun is shining!
ReplyDeleteSpring = fickle!
:)
Yea, it is finally Spring! I like how the reflection is on the ice of the sky and trees. You have a photographer's eye.
ReplyDeleteJoyce
The weather seems to be blowing hot and cold in the same day. Nice series.
ReplyDeleteWow you had a great day! Can you believe we got a fresh inch of snow after a day of flurries then? But it has melted now. :)
ReplyDeleteI love that sky - Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLovely!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sky! I would love to have my lunch outside, too :).
