Imagine

imagine
having soft eyes
that look gently into the world

eyes that blend
with the fabric
of life

eyes with an openness
to perceive
in a virgin manner

eyes that see
life essence

that receive life essence

imagine
and
see
~

  11. T-great link between the stones in the melting ice and the concept of eyes looking on the world - we all have winters in our lives and coming out of them and seeing the world in a new light is so important. Love the stones of course - be great to get my hands on a stash of flat ones - could make lovely personal incense or giving bowls. Go well. B

  19. Oh my God! I have a confession to make. I love rocks. I have a rock collection. We have a fireplace that we can't use because in front of it are rocks and stones. Do you know I used to play with little stones and pebbles and I would select the perfect oval shapes and I would have a Dad and a Mom and a son and daughte and I cut out cartolina boards and shaped and glued them into cars. And there I was on a pile of sand, somehow we aleays had a pile of sand (It took a long time to build my second childhood home and we moved in before it was finished. Anyway I carved a town in that sandhill and I pushed that little cartolina car with four pebbles... Your photographs make me remember such sweet memories!!! Thank you! TSUP!

  24. Ooo, eyes the see with a virgin manner...Yes, please!!

Your stones always thrill me. I often think of my thoughts and hopes and feelings like river stones - not in a dreary way, but because of the image of meandering the river banks and collecting the pretty ones or skipping the flat ones.

All those yummy stones! I want to suck the color out of them!!

  30. Hello, sweet Friend! Say, did you notice the face in the second picture? It's a hunky guy's face, neck and chest. Looks like he's gathering those colorful rocks into his arms.

Can you see it??? His face is on the left side.

  36. Hi Tammie, I nearly missed this post. I was looking at your photo cards today. They always bring me a sense of discovery because there is so much to see in them. Your poems are the same - multi layers of meaning. Looking at the world as though it's brand new with no preconceived ideas about how things "fit" is hard to do. But, oh so rewarding.
