our world
our planet
expresses a depth of beauty
that stirs my life
deeply and to the surface
inspires my breath to meet the respiration of life
with vitality
with presence
with appreciation
to inhale the air that rises from these bubbles
to know I breath air stirred by glacial melt
is a gift enormous
air is something we all share
earth and stones the clay our bodies rise from
rocks our brothers and sisters
care something to be on the surface of our flesh
for to care for our family is essential
~
It's magic! I could feel the energy.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful poem!!! These are stunning, so beautiful. How you make something commonplace so special. I love the colors. I love rocks, naturally, I have a collection! Heheheh!
ReplyDeleteOh ...
ReplyDeleteI have no words .... oh ....
The Greek story tellers knew this;
ReplyDelete"Throw bones of your mother behind your shoulder."
Deucalion and Pyrrha knew that Gaia was their mother and with the stones they re-peopled the earth.
I think these are beautiful images, there is something magical about the way water reveals the colours within.
Wow! The last photograph surprised me--like a rush of life after a moment of meditation with your quiet words and gentle photographs preceding. Walking along this shore, do you feel a part of that breath? It seems like you do. That is how I imagine it. Not just observing the bubbles and water and the undulations of the tide, but breathing in deeply with the lapping of the flow of water as it gulps in air with the mouth of each wave.
ReplyDeleteI love the sound when the water is coming in and out. Like music. Lovely photos. Have a nice time to you.
ReplyDeleteDear Tammie, you are a person, who glorifies Nature! With your beautiful words and magic photos! You have the eye to catch moments; you have the heart to feel the beauty in every single plant, stone or living creature and you have the generosity to share them with us... Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI like colour stones; we've brought some from our seaside... (We have the wonderful Black Sea with its numerous beaches in Bulgaria).
such lovely colored stones. I hope people don't come to pick them in large amount.
ReplyDeleteTL - I'm with Remei - I have no meaningful words; except to say it takes a special eye and camera person to catch that split second of bubbles forming and existing. Thanks for capturing and sharing the colours of rocks, water and air. B
ReplyDeletebeautiful, outstanding photographic beauties... thank you so much for sharing... I am happy I found your blog....

Lovely pictures Tammie.
ReplyDeleteYour stones and Scotland's stones are so alike because 500 million years ago we were joined to you.
A collision between the American and European plates caused subduction.
Since the collision, further land movements put play to Scotland's close encounter with America. Slowly as the Atlantic ocean opened the American plate drifted away, leaving behind a large chunk of rock which today forms Scotland.
England Wales and Southern Island were part of the European plate,it was plate tectonics which brought them together.
I don't think it's true though, that the caveman seeing Scotland drift off uttered those lovely words 'Y'all come back now'.
Oh Tammie, such beauty for the eyes and ears.
ReplyDeleteHappy Independence weekend to you.

ReplyDeleteDear Tammie, How stunning! I cannot believe the beauty in your words and photos. The rocks so diverse in shapes and colors and the constant flow of the water over them keeping their hues saturated . . . yes "our world . . . our planet." If only everyone held it close in such reverence and "appreciation."
