  8. What gorgeous snow scenes you have captured and how fitting for this time of the year! I love them all for different reasons, the first one is majestic, the tiny snow dunes so lovely in their play of sun and shadows and the mottled sky and dancing shadows with a feeling of spaciousness. I feel like breathing it all in deeply! Aaaaaah!
    Happy holiday season to you!

  11. Tammie, this is what I sooo miss living in a hot, dry part of the Earth. I have snow in all its diverseness running in my veins. From crisp blue shadows to an all consuming greyness where trees loom like ghosts.
Such lovely shots that take me back to childhood and our few years in Canada and Vermont.
Thank you for all this beauty.

  23. I love your winters Tammie, if I'd visited Alberta when I was younger I might have stayed. I wonder, is there a border up in the Rockies where they cross into Canada.
You're right with your comment on my post about it looking unseasonable, but we've got the frost returning tomorrow.I need it to be prolonged to get some ice sculptures.

These are great pictures by the way.

  31. TL - since we are so hot over here photos of snow are welcome. What I love about snow covering the landscape is that it makes the landscape almost anonymous - everything unified, quiet and secret. Go well and have a relaxing and joyfilled Christmas time. B
