early in the season
east of the Rockies
horses lounged amongst flowers

summer has shared a multitude of flowers

summer has been filled with hot blue skied days

I connect your photos with water and pebbles, snow and ice structures, mountain peaks... That's why it's new to me to see wild flowers everywhere in the green. I would love to see more...:) And that brown horse is just lovely!

Congratuations to the winner!

I just found wild ponies here in the mountains of the east side of US!! Smaller than your horses, but everything is bigger out west!

hello Tomas,
yes it is wonderful around here, lots of bugs though ;-(, actually not too bad.

Rossichka,
Montana is a HUGE state, we have the Rocky mountains which are large as well as other mountain ranges. The east side of the Rocky mountains flattens out into a flatter landscape with rolling hills, smaller mountains and vast flat lands. Very diverse! The east side can have the most amazing flower shows!

Karen, hello,
so wonderful that you have found wild ponies, that must have been such a joy to see!

thank you all for your visits ~

Such lovely horses and one sweet foal with a white splash on his forelock and muzzle!
Such a beautiful water and mountain shot too. So refreshing in this hot weather we are having over here!

So much beauty around you. It must be hard sometimes to put your camera down and just take in the moment. I'd want to capture everything and I'm not even a photographer. I absolutely love your work.

Hi Tammie, beautiful pictures.
I think I once mentioned that Scotland and America were joined together a few years ago (well ok, a few million years).
Our meadows are similar to some of yours however our mountains aren't quite as majestic as yours.
Love the horses.

Ooooo, once again stunning pictures! I was just in Great Falls, Montana, and it is obvious you live a much more beautiful part of Montana! I really love the one with the horse lounging, but of course, they are all beautiful in colour, texture and mood!
