Beauty of a Sunny Winter's Day

 morning sun
painted the day

donning xc skis
went out to play

clouds and blue skies
felt like medicine to eyes
spirit and soul

mounds of snowfall
whispers of hibernating life
billows of snow everywhere we go

adore to see tracks
of who passed before

a perfect winter's day

  5. Glorious and yet more glorious! Such a winter wonderland! I love: "morning sun painted the day" and the snow has fallen in a myriad of individually shaped crystals to create sparkles in our eyes and gladness in our heart! All such lovely images. I feel I am there!

We are far from this here, temperatures are soaring around 18°C these days, far too warm...

  23. Tammie, Our skimpy snow is embarrassed by the voluptuousness of yours. We haven't even enough to slide down the hill! And those evergreens shooting to the heavens covered in snow and ice.... pure winter splendor. PS your book is on the way, thank you so much!

  29. We actually have not gotten much snow this year. We alternate between stepping on the ground and walking on unblemished snow.
