Beltane 2014

we are
halfway between the spring equinox and the summer solstice

flowers raise their lovely faces

to the sun

cloaked in leaves

glacier lilies breathe

until the perfect moment to bloom

flower season has JUST begun

it amazes me
to find tiny succulents
that have lived beneath winter's snow

I am still in love
with the new buds on the tops of fir trees

  3. Oh Tammie Lee, I'm with you in the WONDER department. We are finally getting some spring and the daffodils are shooting their green blades up, the yellow forsythia is in bloom, and I don't think I've ever been this excited about spring. We had a long hard winter, and we are ready. Lovely flowers, and thank you so much for coming by! Anita

Lots of nice wildflowers you've got there. Even in Montana, spring eventually arrives, much to everyone's relief and delight.
