Like Tide Pools

days are warm
snow is melting
dripping from the roof

landing on ice cloaked earth

what do i spy
like an anenome
from the sea

mimicking
far off universes

right before my knees

continuing to be delighted
by ice

a never before seen find

  1. These certainly do have something of a fossil feel to them. We're a long way away from anything remotely resembling a melt.

  2. These really are fantastic ice formations. Never seen anything like this before.
They remind me of sea urchins.

  3. Your eyes are always finding unusual and lovely offerings of Nature, Tammie. It does remind me of a delicate sea creature. Sunny here today, too - everything dripping and the snow slushy on top. My family is skiing.

  4. It is very difficult to find on the ice something you had not discovered already, because what you show us it is mysterious and wonderful at the same time.

  11. (Trying again Tammie! - hope this time I can get the comment to post.)
These are lovely - they remind me of mixed media collages pieces. Such a find!
Now that the big thaw has started, I hope you will enjoy these last weeks of winter and keep warm!

    1. yea, your comment worked,
so kind of you to try again and again!
yes, we are having a big thaw, took a long walk with Lucy and creeks are running for the first time this year, meadows are turning into lakes (slowly). This is a month early and i don't know when this has ever happened before. Though i have only been here nine years.

Two of the little urchin formations are still there, they are in the shade, fun to check in on them daily.

      Sweet week to you!

  14. Beautiful Tammie, isn't nature fabulous. Our snow is almost gone here in South West Scotland, but they continue to get good skiing further north.
