Gorgeous Autumn

gorgeous autumn weather beckoned
come camp in me

trails enticed to be walked on

the colors were thrilling
literally

leaves illumined
offered sunlight
with gentle brilliance

paths as sacred trails
to take one deeply into the land

sweet clouds appeared around mountain tops
like breath

the sort of
weather
color
and
walk
one dreams of in autumn

~
I feel so thankful to have been there

  10. Dear Tammie - I think I know how you can’t help being thankful surrounded by such a splendor of autumn. Leaves look luminous, sunlit by heaven or with the energy from inside? I wonder. Thank you for sharing with us such a beauty.

  12. -happy sigh-

Our changing leaves are not supposed to be as vibrant this year, in the NE. So it will be wise, for me, to notice all of them, as they happen. :-))))

And I love, love, love sunlight illuminating golden leaves (your lovely photo!). Actually, I may love more, the way golden leaves can seem to glow, even on cloudy days!

    1. Hi Barb,
Turns out that night time was not cold at all! I sleep in my van and was prepared with my huge doubled over down comforter and a big blanket too…. but only needed one. 49F at night and 76F the day I took those photos. When the weather is good, then I get going ;-)

  16. Wonderful shots of where you lie and all the gorgeous autumn colours. I especially love that third photo of the trees so beautifully illuminated! The autumn colours have not yet come here, but there is an autumn chill in the air and it won't be long!

  20. The autumn colours are beautiful Tammie. Gorgeous golds. Is the maple tree not indigenous to your area ... I see no reds?

Wishing you a lovely new week. x
