Glimpses of this past winter

Though we had some cold, deep cold this winter,

never cold enough to completely freeze the lake.

ice capped stones

note the foam under the ice, a precious detail:

shoreline beauty

I love when the ice writes on the surface of the lake

what do you think its script says?

bubbles.... frozen in ice

My forest neighbors

Crystals, a variety of crystals

Spring snow.... most of which has melted away....

some lake colors for you.

As we leave winter and enter a new season,
I wish you a spring that makes your heart sing.

  3. Welcome back to the blog world! What absolutely gorgeous photos. I especially love the layer of ice over the rocks and of course, the beautiful deer.

  5. Brrrrtiful! Such gorgeous photographs, so much crystalline beauty! Definitely chilly, though. Lovely to see the colored stones appearing under the melting ice. Welcome to spring!
