Momentary Treasures

There are moments in a day that are treasures
these moments ignite the heart

this mornings treasures lay in the morning sunlight
as it sparkles the tiny crystals that coat the earth
it lasts for a short time
then the crystals melt
in the warming sun

being in the presence of light
dancing on the edge of a sparkly leaf
somehow takes my breath away
then fills me with the spirit of life
~

  1. It looks like sugar coating that leaf and I kind of want to eat it! :)

  2. Today is my daughter's 10th :O) It is a perfect fall day here. Just a slight chill in the air, and the leaves have all suddenly fallen, blanketing my yard in gold, orange and red.

  12. It's like the frost gives life back to that which is decaying. Maybe it is there to help the leaf let go so that it may fully return back to the earth to enrich the soils for future generations.
