Beautiful as always Tammie! I know these white beauties as Avalanche Lilies. They are such a treat to find also. I love seeing them after my eyes have absorbed so many yellow glacier lilies.

Isn't it wonderful being surrounded by spring wildflowers right now? On my drive to work I am greeted by the vast purple glow of lupine right now. So beautiful!

When a flower falls from the sky,
    The rainbow colours its fate
    With mascara that doesn't dry.
    Flow ye colours
And brighten the world with your High.

So sweet. That's always been one of my favorite things about spring. When I was still a kid, we went up to Glacier Park several times a year. I miss the camping trips with all the cousins and grandparents and aunts and uncles, sigh.

  12. Lovely glacier lily and definitely a different color for a trillium - I'm always struck at the sheer volume of wildflowers just in this forest alone, and then there's a whole world out there of flowers to get to know... goodness!

  19. These are beautiful macros. I'm not familiar with glacier lilies, but your picture is gorgeous. I also like your trillium. Most of the trillium around here are white as well.
