In the Afternoon Sun
in the afternoon sun
after a gentle rain
near a bubbling brook
where the deer do reign
breathe air pristine
lifting flowers scents
offering fragrance of
fairyslippers breath
~
~
Fairyslipper
a wild and tiny orchid
lives under the canopy of forest
a rare and delightful beauty
but do not step too close
for though it has a heavenly scent
you may damage its fragile roots
and then it will not grow back next year

Empty
behold
in you
infinite new life
creative possibilities
a breath that has never been lived
ever before
empty for stillness to permeate
then inspire
because
the invisible world
of endless possibilities awaits
to be born
in your breath
your hands
from the depth of your heart
passion of your belly
let the breath of life rise
and animate
abundant possibilities

Rest
avoid living
theme of busy mind
as it fiddles with past and fantasy future
hearts wisdom:
conquer twirling scenarios
rest in the solitude of spaciousness
magic grows
~
walking in the woods this week
the quality of the air 'caught' my attention
immersed in a spacious feeling
there was no thinking
distinct realization of being in a living moment
filled me
along with a sense of being enlivened ~

Today's Flowers

I would like to thank Today's Flowers for inviting me to be a
'guest friend':
Sunday September 20th.
I am on the road and will not be able to visit everyone in a timely manner,
yet look forward to a visit at some future time.
Please visit folks from around the world as they share photographs of flowers that have moved them to take their portraits!
Many thanks to the TF folks: Santilli, Denise, Pupo and Valkyrien
for hosting this weekly and lovely event!

feel your own deep rhythms
the dance of your personal style of divinity
tango
slow dance
and prance
with the rivers and creeks within
your spirit
this is the grand journey

Paths Lined with Flowers

It's raining it's pouring
Summer is dressed in glory
thick coat of green
jewels made of rain
ornate with budding trees
flowers and mushrooms
tell her story

Let It Flow

In the depth of the night
under a blanket of dark sky
egos rest
let go
spirit opens her wings
dances wildly
sweetly
touches our daytime edges
then penetrates
beyond human boundaries
into the flow of the infinite
~

Petals Amongst Petals

vision wanders between the folds
and layers
of all the luscious petals
there is a consequence when one beholds this beauty
tender awareness rises
waves of an inner reflection
no longer can one deny
that life holds precious
the layers of sensuous grace

Oh So Delicious

Assimilate the beauty
the presence
of a flower
gobble it up
as though it be a
yummy snack
let it absorb into
and nurture every cell
of your body
your spirit
for it's beauty is your own

With joy in my heart, I wish you a wonderful Solstice!
With gratitude, I thank fathers everywhere for your unending presence
in your family and our world~

She has No Walls

body of life in endless expression
spirit of life she has no walls
she'll quake and she'll shiver
asking you to deliver
she'll shimmer and breathe
with undulating ease
igniting within you
unimagined manifestations
for you are the artist
that paints with
the breath of life

Flowers and Clouds

There is no more leaning forward towards spring
She is here
fresh rains cleanse our world
earth drinks deeply of melting snows
and spring showers
a thick green coat paints our world
nature is grand
her abundance begins
blue skies and clouds sing: dream and dream and dream
blossoms enhance this song
inspiring new life after a long winter

She's Moving Through

Awake in the middle of the night
2 A.M.
all is calm
cloaked in a blanket of clouds
deer wander through
night light is triggered
then
she blew in like a train
approaching from the distance
a roar not to be ignored
tops of the trees swaying first
then with the beating of rain
wave after wave
trees undulating down to their roots
water pounding on the tin roof
icy wind gusts through the open window
rain becomes a constant patter
drifting to a far off sound
of distant trees taking up the dance
She arrived and left
blew through
as though a phantom
a dream
taking the clouds
leaving behind a velvety sky
sprinkled with planets and stars
leaving behind a trail of hail
~

Winged Journey

life expressed in
written words
thoughts frozen in time
fresh
for the person reading it
historical
for the person who wrote it
each writing
each reading
metamorphosis
a butterfly
fluttering
alighting on one flower
then the next
thoughts
feelings
actions
come and go
feeling now
thought now
action now
is ours
flit
flutter
fly freely

metamorphosis

alighting on one flower
