Autumn Colors

autumn arrived 4 weeks early

which is wonderful to have that crisp air, warm days and cold nights last longer

the colors, the light, the sky have been glorious

Mushrooms galore have fruited above the surface of the earth

making walks feel like Easter hunts

often it is the details of mushrooms that win my heart
(hollowfoot suillus)

the sky has been showing off, amazing day dream shows

a bend in the river highlights golds framed beautifully

~

wishing you a lovely autumn

(or spring)

A Camping Trip

the beauty of an autumn day

shadows and light

trails are getting colorful!

little cutie pie

a young bighorn sheep, horns still small

mamma and youngster

they were a nice surprise at the top of the trail

I looked up to see 6 of them

well hello there

Running Eagle Falls is always meaningful to visit

there is a feeling of the sacred in the area

and is just that to the native people of the area.

earlier in the year there is also water pouring over the top of this fall.

This time of year one can see the cave quite clearly.

miracles and frozen things

crystalline beauty and charming ice

Autumn Glory

Autumn is simply showing off this year!

These photos were taken last week in Glacier National Park

it has been a long time since I have seen it like this, golden and glowing

Blue skies, no smoke

(though we did have smoke from other states fires recently)

drove to the top of Logan Pass

where the views change ones heart and breath

the colors sometimes come and go quite swiftly,

this year though they are moving right along, yet also lingering

I hope you are enjoying your autumn, or spring depending on where you are in the world.

Nature does have the ability to balance the whackiness of humans....

at least for me......

I hope for you too.

The Park, Glacier National Park

as the sun nears the horizon

snow shows off the beach boulders in a different way

without sunlight the rocks colors are muted, appealing in a earth toned way

reflections are day dream beauties

tucked into that far off canyon, it is snowing

When the Sun shines on Us

ah-mazing!
when the sun comes out

I haven't seen an icy shore like this for a while

which creates wonderfully artful details

reflections
offer a double dose of beauty

ice, sunlight and colorful rocks under water
are eye candy that touches the soul

August in the Park

at the top of the mountains
flowers are still blooming

colors seem to be softening under the heat of summer's sun

greens
blues
and
clear waters
sooth the heat of the days

clouds dance along the peaks
as though they are the mountain's breath

daydream beautiful

Sunrise and Beyond

the sun began to light up the world

as the clouds shifted and danced in the sky

we walked a forested path
that brought us to this pristine vista

our day overflowed with immense beauty

with theater in the sky

Glimpses of Summer

drove to the top of Logan Pass
looked east to the majestic mountains

waters are dancing down the mountains

huckleberries have begun to ripen

creek water is mesmerizing

seems like billions of flowers
on one stalk of beargrass

tiny flowers are enchanting

walking deep in the forest
where no trail exisits
i found to Orange-capped boletes bathing in the sun

~
Summer is certainly here!
