A Camping Trip

 

the beauty of an autumn day

shadows and light

trails are getting colorful!

a young bighorn sheep, horns still small

 

mamma and youngster

they were a nice surprise at the top of the trail 

I looked up to see 6 of them

well hello there

Running Eagle Falls is always meaningful to visit

there is a feeling of the sacred in the area

and is just that to the native people of the area.

earlier in the year there is also water pouring over the top of this fall. 

This time of year one can see the cave quite clearly.

These are glimpses of Two Medicine, 

an area of Glacier National Park.

Season of Flowers

some views

change one's breathing

meadows of flowers

can right one's spirit

 at my elevation 

most flowers have gone to seed

but the mountains

still offer flowers galore

colors divine

mixed with mountains and sky

and 

one's heartbeat comes true

Wandering paths and mountain roads are such a nice way to enjoy summer wildflowers!

Summer Solstice beauty thrills

walking forest paths so lush

never knowing who is far or near

tiny glimpses 

charm my eyes

flowers one with butterflies

flowers and green cloak the earth

mother's hide their tiny fawns

blooms celebrate the sun's rays

a new season dawns

grand sojourn

to walk up your flanks
to sit in your presence
to breath rarefied air
to experience colors
aflame with glorious light
to sit deeper  
because of your depth
changing the pace of mundane life
