Passion

passionate
who me
about ice crystals
is it that obvious

well
if you were to meet
to truly treat
yourself to perch on your heels

gaze at their form
with light streaming through
blue sky too
tis my guess
that you
would feel passion too
perhaps even kinship
with the fragile delight that you find
~

Thank you
to everyone for wishing me a wonderful time last night at the Headwaters Photography Event!
It was a wonderful evening of amazing photography.
As well as raising money to take care of our waters.

Caring for our waters is not only important
it is Essential!

Winter's Joy

 rambling in the woods
crusty snow beneath my boots
cacophonous alarm
to sylvan dwellers near and far
dropping to my knees
treasuring what I spy
winter crystals

a delightful
sight
~

a few days ago
following tracks in the woods
I stirred up a mammal that I have never seen

we think it is a mink or fisher
larger than a house cat:

Lovely in the Grass

I could have flown right by you
the fringes of our spirits touched
I turned
and there you were
a pale golden beauty
blending with autumn grass
you turned
our eyes met
my heart smiled
you wandered on
~

~
I don't have the right lens for wildlife off in a field,
thus details are not grand.
It felt like a gift to see this wolf or maybe coyote.
It's camouflage was astounding!

Sunset Sky in Montana

These photos are of one evening:

inhale
the sky fills you
exhale
you fill the sky

walk
the earth supports you
eat
your body is made of earth

see
your world alight
nourishment
via eyes

speak
you are the music life hears
listen
hear the song of birds
laughter
your heart beat

we are the world
the world is us

ornate with budding trees
flowers and mushrooms

Fragrance and Spirit

fragrance is as close to spirit
as the physical world gets
fragrance and breath
divine friends
are mated

as we pause to inhale a delicious scent
a rhythm within slows
invites
opens to receive
in receiving we blend
united

Superior Scribbler Award

Once upon a time (LAST February) from the far off land of Oslo came a gift that touched my heart sweetly and deeply. The Superior Scribbler Award was gifted by Son from Son of Incogneato's blog. As I read his words as to why he gave it to me, gentle tears rolled down my cheeks. I began to sense that my heart felt dream of uplifting the human spirit through the beauty of nature and my writings was actually manifesting.

I'd like to introduce: mister Son. When I stumbled upon his blog I was enchanted as I wandered through post after post. His art overflows with the mystery and magic of life, and summons imagination to the surface. I encourage you to gift yourself with a visit to his blog: Son of Incogneato! (I wish I had the ability to be as humorous about this as Son was in his award post!
He is also a wonderful writer, you will have to search deep to find his writings.

Now this award has some tasks I must attempt to honor:
* Each Superior Scribbler must in turn pass The Award on to 5 most-deserving Bloggy friends.
* Each Superior Scribbler must link to the author & the name of the blog from whom he/she received the award.
* Each Superior Scribbler must display The Award on his/her blog, and link to This Post, which explains The Award.
* Each Blogger who wins The Superior Scribbler Award must visit [the above Scholastic Scribe] post and add his/her name to the Mr. Linky List. That way, we’ll be able to keep up-to-date on everyone who receives This Prestigious Honor!
* Each Superior Scribbler must post these rules on his/her blog.

It is with great appreciation that I pass this award on to some bloggy friends whose writing I enjoy very much and absolutely as writers they each deserve this award! :

Anno of: anno's place
Anno has the ability to write about anything: what she is reading, growing, meme's, what she is cooking and eating, poetry, and always I find myself delighted and absorbed in her words.

Paschal of: Murat 11
Paschal has a grand style, sui generis. I have found that my mind must relax, loosen, let go to take in the brilliance of his words (this is a good thing). And his comment section is like a string of pearls as he responds to his readers and friends. And... he has great taste in music.

Miss A of :The Essence of A Thing
Miss A has a delicious way with words. Her heart and mind can weave a tale that takes you on wild and wonderful adventures.

Erin of: Erin Sings
Ms. Erin breaths life into words with a sensuous lilt that gets my attention. Not only is she a wonderful writer, if you wander around her blog a bit you can find some of her awesome music.

The newest writer I have come to find: ThomG of Surface Tension
This man is a fantastic story teller. He has one this week called 'Snare' that I thoroughly enjoyed.

I could go on and on, for I enjoy the brilliant writing of so many people in blogland. I thank you all for sharing the beauty and depth of your words with me and the world.

Listen

Listen

know that when you ask
then listen
you will hear
the whispers
the call of the soul
they rise from ones heart
a place with the know
some feel it in their
solar plexus, belly or heart
she can come with the wind
a flower or music of a harp
she speaks ancient truths
still in sync with now
know that when you ask
then listen
you will hear
~

Summer at Her Best

Softly deeply slowly
inhaling air
and presence
relaxing opening beckoning
loves spirit
to awaken and permeate
all eternity

This past week I took a journey. Drove to the National Folk Festival in Butte Montana, absolutely wonderful music! Then wandered up the Eastern side of the Rocky mountains. Weather varied from hot to warm as well as stormy with great drama in the form of clouds, rain and wind. The earth is vibrant green, flowers are bountiful and seemingly unending waterfalls abound. Summer at her best.

Obvious Mate ~

In the land of seasons
nature becomes an obvious mate
there is no wandering into her wilds
without considering her mood
honoring her stance
appreciating
our union
if only for ones well being

in honoring
behold
endless treasures
in her presence
in her kinship

Let It Flow

In the depth of the night
under a blanket of dark sky
egos rest
let go
spirit opens her wings
dances wildly
sweetly
touches our daytime edges
then penetrates
beyond human boundaries
into the flow of the infinite

Petals Amongst Petals

vision wanders between the folds
and layers
of all the luscious petals

there is a consequence when one beholds this beauty
tender awareness rises
waves of an inner reflection

no longer can one deny
that life holds precious
the layers of sensuous grace

Bear Grass

We've had a lovely week,
blue skies that release the warm scents of summer.

Bear Grass

flowers like bright torches
illuminated in sunlight
ignite the forest floor
drawing us to their beauty
also true
of you
a light
that shines brightly as you carpet the earth
sharing your unique qualities
precious and worthy
touching hearts
as you go

She has No Walls

body of life in endless expression
spirit of life she has no walls
she'll quake and she'll shiver
asking you to deliver
she'll shimmer and breathe
with undulating ease
igniting within you
unimagined manifestations
for you are the artist
that paints with
the breath of life
