ReplyDeleteOh my, an entire grove of spotted saxifrage. I discovered their minute beauty this summer after stopping to look at the plain little white flowers next to the trail. My macro lens showed me the incredible beauty of each one with the delicate yellow and pink spots on each petal. I never found a patch as dense as yours this summer! Maybe next year...

Every time I see your gorgeous wildflower closeups, I think of Georgia O'keefe's reply to someone who ask her why she painted flowers. "Nobody sees a flower, not really...they are so small. But when I paint them big, people begin to understand..."(paraphrased!)
