Kissed by a Butterfly

walking in the woods today
caressed by a warm breeze
serenaded by Sandhill cranes
quacking ducks
 and the little birds

a tiny butterfly
landed on my shoulder
then kissed my forehead
a feeling of being blessed permeated my spirit

the mastery of a butterflies kiss
 thaws the remnants of winter
presenting spring

  13. Dearest Tammie, How appropriate that you should be kissed by an Zephyr Anglewing butterfly . . . at least that is what I think it is. Beautiful captures and words. The life there coming alive again must be glorious. Carol

  14. When we were in high school, my now husband would give me "butterfly kisses" by fluttering his eyelashes on my lips (yes, we were once young). Your post reminded me of that. Glorious photos, Tammie.

  41. How fun that they landed on you!
Out for a walk yesterday, wn on the side of the trail to watch them for a while. I thought, here they are floating effortlessly in their little world... w/ no thought to war, retirement, security.... they just ARE.
We could take some lessons from them I think.
