  3. On est parfois très surpris de surprendre certains champignons dans des endroits très insolites...
J'aime beaucoup l'ensemble de vos photos... J'adore aller à la cueillette des champignons.
    Gros bisous

  4. The chicken of the woods are a favorite of the kitchen too. Those squirrels sure know how to use dehydrators that are naturally found in Nature. One merely has to open their senses to feel and find where these creations exist naturally.

  6. Just lovely, as usual. You would get on with my pa, he photographs the UK equivalent of your subject matter.

I just love the colour of fungi fruiting bodies, they are amazing and have such variety.

  9. From your lovely pictures Tammie we can understand why designers are always tempted to copy nature.

  10. I recognize some of these 'shrooms.
    Some, not all.
And I love how you found 'em up in the trees, after the squirrels went shopping. Great shots.
The patterns (in shot 1) are so beautiful.
I love inspecting the undersides of mushrooms, the textures, patterns and "gills."
It's starting to get colder here now -- I went out hiking in the woods today (sans gloves) and came back with very cold hands!
Can't wait to get past election day . . . yay!

  14. Great use of the macro lens! It's amazing what is there if only people would take the time to look closely. Sort of stop and smell the roses type thing.

Isn't it amazing? Sometimes I think that everything we create already exists in nature!
Thank you for getting us so much close to the autumn beauties in a forest!:)

  24. Very pretty series! Isn't it fascinating how the wildlife know which ones they can eat!

  25. What lovely colorful photos that show the amazing textures of mushrooms.

We've become super aware of mushrooms because one of our dogs is obsessed with eating them. In the winter, it "rains dried mushrooms" in the wind as all the squirrel caches come tumbling down (causing us all sorts of headaches due to our crazy dog). Squirrels are smart little rodents, aren't they?
