Form

Love in the form of life

Life in the form of breath

Dance in the form of wind

Laugh in the form of a fawns prance

Flight in the form of a hawk

Growth in the form of crystals

Beauty in the form of a flower

Wisdom in the form of a tree

Patience in the form of a rock

Wildness in the form of wolverine

Serenity in the form of the rising sun

Bliss in the setting one

Drink in the form of a raindrop

Food in the form of a kiss

You in the form of me

Me in the form of you

All life in a single snowflake

then melting

to be born again

  1. Wow! Amazing photos and poetry! Your words are so touching. I absolutely love all your photos, but that first one with the fog lingering over the water is making me speechless. You have so much beautiful scenery around you. I love it. And you certainly have an eye for capturing it! I'll have to get back to Montana one day. I was there only briefly many years ago. Thanks for sharing.

  31. How beautiful. I love the way you ended the poem - with snowflakes melting to be reborn. Your photos are stunning (as usual). I especially love the first picture. You could say it contains all the elements: the water, air (in the mist and clouds), earth (mountain) and fire in the autumnal colours of the leaves on the trees. I love that picture.

  34. Just beautiful! I read once that the only purpose of art is to allow the viewer to feel something. Your words and your imagines certainly make me feel something ... something lovely and calm and wonderful!

  37. Tammie - love your Form poem and the very first picture (with the mist) takes my breath away. So moody and pure.

  38. Thank you all for appreciating this post. Seems many of you were touched by the image with the mist. I was on my way home from a photo trip in Canada. I felt so tired and pulled in to Lake McDonald for the night. They have a rustic camp on the shore that was open, all others closed in late fall. I awoke to that misty morning, which felt like a gift to my soul.
