Deep Thirst

within lies an eternal spring
a substance akin to
breath and light
rest gentle upon its edges
sense the spaciousness of its
presence
let the waters of the spring
quench your deep thirst

  14. Beautiful. I love the greens that I am seeing in everyone's photos. This poem reminds me of the fresh water spring we used to have to walk to out at camp. It was icy cold and could definitely quench your thirst!

  25. Miz Lee: Lovely prayer, especially that rest gentle upon its edges. Lovely reminder to us down in these desert-lands. Just back from the emerald Gulf, where there were Yemaya's waters a-plenty, quenching deep.

Beautiful photos. Eleven (!) drops in the palm of the leaf. Master number, and about six more drops than the rain count down here in Tres Leches! :-D
