Autumn Blessing

may the breath of autumn
which stirs the leaves
until they are free to ride upon the breeze
may it free your spirit to gently rise
find your colors and then take flight
may the breath of autumn wrap a cloak of soft light
around you

  1. Beautiful, and a much needed reminder of our natural world. We are feeling particularly out of kilter here in the UK with the unseasonal weather. I feel as though my rhythms have been knocked over and it makes me uneasy.

Thank you for the poem and pictures.

  2. Beautiful poem. The word are so great. The photos is wonderful. You got snow, like we also have. The winter just to arrive. Have a lovely week to you.

  3. A poem that is a blessing, Tammie. When I go out for my morning run, I'll think of your words (and hope to "ride upon the breeze"). The snow on the high peaks along with your fall colors makes awe-inspiring landscapes.

  10. Your autumn looks so different from ours, but it shares as much beauty. We don't have snow yet, atleast down in the southern part of Maine, but the air is starting to feel quite nippy.

  15. Beautiful photos! The colors are similar in the top photo to my area but instead of green pines we have green cacti and our yellow comes from some bushes with teeny tiny flowers blooming on them because we got a rain finally! The sky is blue like that too but I bet we are a bit hotter. We were 90 degrees today or 33.3C for Canadians. Just a tad of difference, lol.
