Frosty Morning ~

I woke up
it was a frosty morning
and the first thing that i saw
was ice dressed in rainbows
my heart began to thaw
I thought I was heading to yoga
but smitten my path did change
kneeling to enjoy a sparkling ballet
morning light
and
golden grass
did reign
~

poem inspired by the rythym of Joni Mitchell's
song: Chelsea Morning
thank you Joni

How beautiful!
"ice dressed in rainbows" - I will try to look at it that way too. Winter is unusually late here in Sweden and I love that!

The word picture of elegant long grass clothed in rainbow clothing just fills my eyes and heart. This is just wonderful, my sweet Friend.

Wonderful, both in words and pictures. And you are wonderful too: enjoying the mornings magic in it's very moment and therefor giving credit to Mother Earth'miracles.
Blessings,
Anja

I got almost the identical shot last weekend. To me, they look like fairy lights, so that is what I call them.

Love the poem.

Frost in winter light to me is more beautiful than the harsh, summer light... It makes me thaw too.

As Nature's rainbow finds its way into our heart, a colourful outlook will fill us All with Being.... the truth beyond any matter whatsoever.

May your beauty continue to shine and transform all that you touch and breath life upon.

Dear Tammie, I love the rhythm of your poem. Beautiful!! Your photographs catching the rainbow dots scattered about are lovely. I love 'my heart began to thaw.'

Awesome pictures and words! :) Frost is cold, but sooo beautiful! :)

The opposition of the frosty grass and "my heart began to thaw" is an apt description of how Nature often works in our lives. The cadence of the poem fits the "sparkling ballet." I like the frosty glitter on the grasses, too.
