Frosty Morning ~

I woke up
it was a frosty morning
and the first thing that i saw
was ice dressed in rainbows
my heart began to thaw
I thought I was heading to yoga
but smitten my path did change
kneeling to enjoy a sparkling ballet
morning light
and
golden grass
did reign
~

poem inspired by the rythym of Joni Mitchell's
song: Chelsea Morning
thank you Joni

"ice dressed in rainbows" - I will try to look at it that way too. Winter is unusually late here in Sweden and I love that!

  4. Wonderful, both in words and pictures. And you are wonderful too: enjoying the mornings magic in it's very moment and therefor giving credit to Mother Earth'miracles.

May your beauty continue to shine and transform all that you touch and breath life upon.

  35. The opposition of the frosty grass and "my heart began to thaw" is an apt description of how Nature often works in our lives. The cadence of the poem fits the "sparkling ballet." I like the frosty glitter on the grasses, too.
