Like a Chandelier

 stepping onto a lakeshore beach
steeped in morning shade
dappled in morning light
song of pouring creek
spring bush laden with newborn buds
shinning
lit up
like a crystal chandelier
i felt as though i stepped into mystical magical realm
yes
that would be planet earth

What lovely ice sculptures made by nature! The red branches encased in ice make it particularly attractive.

I see you had some rain! It is much easier to appreciate the beauty in the spring, isn't it? Don't you love the tinkly sound when the wind rattles the crystal limbs?

Mother Nature's chandeliers sparkle in the sun. We build from crystal.
Beautiful.

Thanks for adding the Big picture to put the icy bush in perspective. I'd hoped it wasn't still that wintery even in Montana.

Hi Tammie, thank you for your kind wishes.
Wouldn't it be great if we could be miniaturised like in the film Fantastic Voyage, and take a trip deep into the world of ice crystals.
Your pictures are stunning

I am late to the party this time around, but that does not diminish my appreciation for your captures of this fleeting seasonal wonder. It reminds me of something that would inspire Tim Burton: a little eerie, yet whimsical and inviting, too. Beautiful!

Guten Morgen Tammie,
