It's a lovely fall evening. The warm sunlight pours through the sky, igniting the colors of the earth. These colors touch something deep inside. As I wander about my pond I see a mirror reflection of life where the surface is no longer frozen due to the nights dipping temperatures. In my heart I feel peace and gratitude to live in this wee log cabin in the north west corner of Montana. I feel peace and gratitude for all the people in my life.
Many a time I have been asked to share an image of my little cabin that I call home. Tonight's beauty inspired me to do so.

Your home is beautiful, like something out of a dream.
ReplyDeleteThe very first movie I ever saw at a drive-in (a very long time ago) was Thomasina, and somehow your photos, illustrations, and poetry conjure up the attentive, creative spirit of the woman who lived in the woods and healed the injured animals. Your home is exactly what I would imagine as the ideal place for her. (and for you, too!)
anno,
ReplyDeleteYou make me want to see that movie.
Living here.... is a dream come true!
And... of course I'll be your friend. I am your friend!
ReplyDeleteAnno,
ReplyDeletethank you!
You are very lucky indeed to live in such a beautiful place! I love being on the water too...I can see Lake Superior from my house and I love to look at her at sunrise. Maybe I will post a picture next time I am up early enough to catch a sunrise :)
ReplyDeleteWow, that has to be just the most amazing place to live. I'm so jealous! My husband and I plan to move somewhere like that after the kids are out of the house and we can get a smaller place closer to nature.
ReplyDeleteMust just be amazing!
shannanigans,
ReplyDeleteI would love to see the view that you write of! It is getting easier to be up at sunset with mornings being dark later, for me at least.
Absolutely gorgeous, Tammie.
ReplyDeletewhat a lovely cabin, and looks liek a very peaceful location
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely and charming patch of paradise you are blessed with!
ReplyDeleteI am simply delighted that you shared with beautiful image of "you" with us all. Thank you.

What an amazing photo, it feels like you are right there! I too am in awe of the colors, spectacular, especially with the waters mirror!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by!
Wow!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment on my work, all praise is much appreciated!
ReplyDeleteYou do have a beautiful home.
Wow, what a beautiful place to call home, Tammi. Do you go skating under the starlight in the dark winter nights?
ReplyDeleteah, maybe someday I will learn to skate on ice. So far I have learned to snow shoe (no learning involved actually) and xc ski.
ReplyDeleteStill under the star light and moon light in winter I love to take night walks sometimes turning slowly in circles taking in the quiet, brilliant majesty.
What a beautiful world you live in! Thank you for your visit and for brining me here, I NEED your images and words today!
ReplyDeleteOh I am so envious of your little log cabin - to spend time in the woods with nature. Lovely. At the moment I am far from water - I need to be near water. I am changing that.
ReplyDeleteOh, Tammie, I'm absolutely captured by this photo-- your home, the earth and sky and BEing. Thank you so much for the little glimpse! And thank you, too, for always inspiring me. Most appreciated!
ReplyDeletexo and miracles to you!

I think you must be the luckiest person in the world! Oh what peace there is in that scared spot you call home!
ReplyDeleteSigh...looks like a little piece of heaven. Thanks for your beautiful compliments on my work.

Ohhhh...your little cabin in the woods is so picture perfect! You must live in a magical winterwonderland during the snowy season. There's a cabin close to my heart up in Canada. It's just above a lake and at night the loons call to one another. It's heaven on earth!
ReplyDeleteWhat a most beautiful place to live. Love this photo. I am happy you have such beauty surrounding you. Sincerely, Connie
ReplyDeletewow.. what a beautiful view ! It must be so fasinating to live in such a beautiful cabin !
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful home you have, tucked away like that. How I adore log homes. And the water?! Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Tammie, for sharing your enchanted (and enchanting ...) piece of Mama Earth with us!
ReplyDeleteI love the reflection of the roof on the water.
