She Exists to Dance

She exists to dance
an alchemist of her own
stance
the world
her palette
she is
mist
rain dancing through the sky
frozen
piles of snowflakes
gems of dripping ice
pooling
a lake
enhancing the beauty of rocks
underneath
She changes her form
with each partner
that surrounds
her

Recently I found the blog of Jennie Nash: Meet Your Muse. Her novel: The Only True Genius in the Family, was published this month! In celebration she is posting about artists; where they find their muse and inspiration. Jennie invited me to do a guest post this month, please visit to read my poem and see one of my favorite watery images: Dancing with My Muse.

  26. What would we do without the ability to express our creativity? What would we do if we couldn't reach out to others and try to share this positivity? I used to hate the word blog...because I didn't really know what blogging was...now I see the power of sharing through our blogs and I am loving it! I am so thankful that I found yours Tammie because you have an extraordinary soul and you share such extraordinary beauty with us. Thank you:)

  44. I'm so glad that you stopped by for a visit so that I could find your extraordinary blog. The colorful stones on the little beach are incredible. I have been to a black vocanic sand beach in Bali, and a sugar white sand beach in the Phillipines and one at the northern most tip of Denmark covered in perfectly smooth 'worry' stones, but I have never seen a more beautifully colord beach any where in the world than the one you have shown us. Thank you for mental vacation.
