each moment
each step
each breath
for me
is a pilgrimage
a homage
to the next and the one that came before
to wander deeply into a soft heart
is to immerse into a vast world
of unending delicacies
how many snowflakes lay on a forest's winter floor
how many stars paint the night
how many grains of sand live in the sea
life is an unending pilgrimage for me
though I live in a tiny cabin I call home
I still live with a feeling of wandering
Four years ago I began a pilgrimage
wandering in a few countries
writing and honoring the wisdom that was revealed within
the quiet words
listening to the voice of the wind
the sway of the trees
and songs of the birds
each moment is a sacred journey

Like a peaceful meditation, a beauteous rest, this post is. :)
ReplyDeleteThat flower colud be in See It Sunday Challenge too !!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful thoughts, beautiful pictures.
ReplyDeleteYour words give me goose bumps. The rising moon photo is stunning and iconic, like the eye of a god.
ReplyDeleteI recently read a quote somewhere by Charles Darwin: ‘A man who dares to waste one hour of his life has not discovered the value of life.’
As you say, ‘Each moment is a sacred journey’.
That picture of the moon rising below the crest of that mountain was so startling, it jolted me into a different place of mind, a minor pilgrimage of my own. Beautiful photo, with just the right words for accompaniment.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful entry. I love the moon shot. You were in the right place at the right time.
ReplyDeleteLovely to have you all visit!
ReplyDeleteThat flower is another one that I have not figured out what it is. I took its portrait in a empty lot downtown Whitefish,MT. I do believe it is a weed and it is tiny! And lovely.
The moon image was a year ago February. I have a series of images of it coming up up up and all the way up risen above the mountains' horizon.
Genie Sea, so glad you had a beauteous rest, that makes my heart happy.
Son, I so agree with Darwin! If my words can inspire goose bumps, how sweet that is for me, for I am finding a way to express what I deeply feel.
anno ~ how wonderful that you were startled into your own pilgrimage.
Miz Katie, people w/C, Puzzlesnlaughs, CraigM, Nukke, George, thank you all for your thoughs and appreciations.

ReplyDeleteTammie: Wonderful flowers and neat writings and Moon photo on your site.
ReplyDeleteWords and photos meld into an experience that i can share vicariously. Skillful use of occasional rhyme. This left me as refreshed as would a walk in the woods.

beautiful.
and i feel that mabye, that little kabin helps you to see each moment as a journy, rather then a vast hugh house, one get lost in.
same goes for travling, meeting and learning other places and coltures, that too, keeps on alive, and at the moment.
i am very happy you stopped by my place and left a comment, for i came to see your beautiful words.
thanky out very much
