  6. Such glorious photos! I see you have a little bridge over your water, do you play pooh sticks? (Throwig sticks into the water and letting them race each other down beneath the bridge to the other side.)

  7. thank you for your visit Sarah. I am glad you enjoyed the photos.
I had never heard of pooh sticks, thank you for the suggestion. The water is often very slow moving. Maybe in the spring melt that would happen, very slowly.

  8. Ah, autumn's changing weather patterns. You have to be ready for sudden changes.
But your canvass is always beautiful, as your great pics demonstrate.
    Enjoy them all.

  9. So your first snow has arrived, if somewhat timidly! I love those fairy boats setting off on their watery adventure! What fun to make stone paths too! If you want to know more about Pooh sticks, you will enjoy reading the book Winnie-the-Pooh which you can read about here:http://reflectionsandnature.blogspot.ch/2015/01/my-favourite-day.html

  19. Helllo Tammie Lee!:) It's a beautiful landscape where you live, and I enjoyed seeing the stone foot prints and little boats you made. I'm sorry but I can't think of anything better than Wallnuts and corks, but I'll keep it in mind.:)

To answer your question, I live on a farm which is situated on a mountain surrounded by forest in Northen Portugal, and this is where I take my photographs.
    Regards.

  23. All of this beauty is so good for the soul! I love your wonderful cabin in the wilderness and those little boats are so great, I'm sure your grandsons had lots of fun with you. My hubby loved making little boats too with our kids, just using sticks or even paper boats, simple good fun!

  24. It must be real happiness to share these changes of seasons with your grandsons! To play with them and pay them attention to the miracles around! Under the beautiful high skies... The "paws" idea is great! I like the little boats sooooo much - want to make my own next summer!:)

  25. The changing landscape is especially fascinating in nature’s each manifestation in your place, Tammie. In the 8th image, I can imagine the fantastic adventures of those fairy boats sailing along the canyon. We used to make a Bamboo leaf boat which is made by folding a bamboo leaf. But I’m not sure if there are bamboo leaves around you.

  29. Oh my gosh...I loved this post...everything about it. Making little boats for your grandson that look like a tiny mouse could step into them melted my heart, and your cabin is so beautiful. Add in lichens, which are one of my favorite things, and I'm hooked! :-)
