spirit of the wild surrounds me
held in a clouds embrace
held in a clouds embrace
howling wind
lifts and blows
revealing vast horizons
valleys mountains
forests turning golden
fog clouds rain hail
wind the paint brush

in my last post I offered 3 greeting cards from my Spirithelpers
website to the person who could tell me what the tiny red
fungi were.
Cobi from Paddestoelengek guessed:
I think they are Scutellina scutellata.
I think that is what they are too, thanks to the help from my
fungi teacher, Larry Evans, from Fungal Jungle.
Congratulations Cobi!
I thank everyone for joining in the fun and guessing!

beautiful, beautiful images. I would rather be looking at your sky than the rain laden one we have here at the moment.
ReplyDeleteTammie, You win a prize from me for having the very best photos and words to represent the Equinox. (Actually, I'm still sulking a little that I didn't win the fungus contest. Who is your fungus teacher? Next time I'm going to bribe him!)
ReplyDeleteI'll bet you enjoyed being up there. I love being in the woods when the wind is blowing, and I being in the mountains must so much nicer.
ReplyDeleteI love that misty shot.
These are incredibly breathtaking, Tammie! I still wonder how you're able to take pictures like these... Sometimes I wish I could be in your shoes for just one day. It must feel so free to be out there in grands of nature!! (^_^) oxx

really incredible fotos Tammie! I just love the mountains and Autumn, my favorite season. I think it's kind of funny I live by the salt water, when the mountains are always calling to me. Love the poem that you wrote to go along with these wonderful images too! What a talent you have.
ReplyDeleteSmiles
wow, beautiful pictorial representation of our changing season.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place to be immersed in nature! I love the softness of clouds that drift in and out like that. It really makes you feel like you are in a mystical place!
ReplyDeleteWonderful, dramatic magic in these skies! And the scenery is enchanting!
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing photo, it has inspired me to paint mountain scenes again!! Would it be okay with you if I use your photo to guide me on my next painting?
ReplyDeleteHi Tammie,
ReplyDeleteWhat amazing photograghs ... I just posted a photo of our harvest moon ... not near what you have done but on the same theme. I so do love autumn ... if it could be Sept/Oct all year round ... I would be a happy lady. Born in September, I guess that is normal.
I am glad you enjoyed the photos of Newfoundland, it is a wonderful, rugged place ~ 1/2 million people only, on the 8th largest island in the world.
Very best autumn wishes,
Barbara
Sheer magnificence in that spirit of the wild.
ReplyDeleteHi Tammie, it has been a long time and I realize as I read this post that that is a mistake on my part. I love your words and photos and this post is particularly moving as we move through the chaos and beauty that is autumn. Your capture the turning of the seasons with such grace and simplicity and power.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and smiles
Tammy first photo is amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteDear Tammie,
ReplyDeleteHappy Autumn and Harvest Moon.
All of your photographs are fantastic...a wild Autumn sounds fun. I love the energy of the wind!
It has turned cooler in my gardens. I needed Autumn and the cooler temperatures. Your fungi post was fun too!
I do love fungi in the morning light too.
Namaste,
Sherry
At the same time it was our summer one Tammie but for this time of year, the evenings are still a bit cool and I expect them to stay that way until we have rains which are very late this year. Things are dry and dusty so I hope we get some soon.
ReplyDeleteI am a wind lover. Tammie your clouds photographs are just...."stunning", "breathtaking", "euphoric". None of those descriptions really do justice. Your lens captures the beautiful soul of our planet so well.
ReplyDeleteI had so much fun participating in the Autumn Equinox Exchange with you and the other ladies. :)
Brightest blessings!
You capture nature so beautifully. You are sharing this heaven on earth with us. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteHi Tammie, what a beauties these pictures are. They bring me joy being in the clouds...Love them.

ReplyDeleteI love the second one...it's so Lord of the Rings-ish! Beautiful
ReplyDeleteWhen I fell ill--I knew I might die. I prayed to live a little longer. A soft cloud of peace enfolded my body--I could feel it draping against my skin. I turned my face into the embrace of peace and slept until I was rushed into surgery.
ReplyDeleteThat first photo touches something deep inside my heart. Embraced by clouds...
wonderful cloud photos!
ReplyDeletesuch a beautiful place. Longing to go to such palce.
ReplyDeleteThey are all gorgeous, along with the words, but my eyes keep going back to the third photo. It's mesmerizing!

ReplyDeleteOh wow! That mountain in the mist! It makes me want to do a similar landscape for Zoe and Dante! Simply spectacular shot!!!
(Considered me covered in shivers)
