ReplyDeleteI'm getting closer to winning, Tammie - at least a gal with my first name was chosen! Congrats to her. That second photo is mesmerizing.
ReplyDeleteWow, that ... is it lichen? I am so bad with plant stuff ... it's so gorgeous and textured ... and the color ... you did a beautiful job. It's organic and abstract at the same time!
ReplyDeleteOh the first little signs of spring bring such joy to my soul. Yellow Bells are such sweet little heralders of spring. And I love the green growth contrasted with the lichen on those branches, a beautiful illustration of age and newness.
ReplyDeleteVery cool. It has to be said....your images and words enrich my life. I love stopping here.
ReplyDeleteTammie,

Lovely spring shots. I also looked at the bear shots on the previous post. WONDERFUL. I had a dream about bears last night, I think it's because I saw a PBS show on them a day or two ago.

Hi Wren,
ReplyDeletethe second photo is a macro capture of a Western Larch tree, or known as Tamerack, it is new born needles rising out of, well I don't know what this part of the tree is called, so I will call them pores that have lichen growing around them. A mix of old and new. Thank you for asking.
Wonderful pictures Tammie.
ReplyDeleteI already commented but it looks like the problems Blogger has been having recently have deleted the more up to date comments.
I am a winner too.
ReplyDeleteDear Tammie, It is such a gift to be your blog friend and to see your spirit through your stunning work. I love these images with the lichen and fresh green growing through. Is it a Metasequoia?
ReplyDeleteThe second photo in this post is particularly wonderful, the contrast of the lichen and the new leaves is amazing
ReplyDeleteRefreshing and rejoicing the birth of green with you! Its amazing how you capture them. Keep going.
