most days this year
have been cloudy
misty
gray and whites
yesterday
the sun
found spaces between clouds to peer through
to us
so lovely to see blue
and the snowy mountain glowing and cloaked
in misty clouds
the snowy dunes came to life
in shadows and light
sunset
a lovely sight

Beautiful views and a very good winter is upon us.
ReplyDeletehave a good one !
Tomás.
The snow looks so crisp and beautiful! That last shot is so delicate and pretty in soft pastels!
Gros bisous ♡
The last two shots are magical!
ReplyDeleteStunning photos Tammie! And so much snow, it's so so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe last shot is fabulous!
Best wishes,
Ruby
yes, we have a nice amount of snow this winter. people are hoping we get more. it has been a bit warm, meaning above freezing for January. only time will tell if we are to get more snow.
DeleteThere is magic in these images. And in these words.
ReplyDeletethank you Rose.
DeleteQUE PRECIOSIDAD!!
ReplyDeleteY ESO QUE ESTE AÑO NO ESTA TAN FRIO.
SALUDITOS
Tammie, I love that sunset photo. It looks like mists are blowing through. Winter is so magical - white on white.
ReplyDeleteles dunes sont incroyables... comme de la ouate ... beau!
ReplyDeleteThat sky! That panorama! Thank you for sharing such incredible beauty with us.
ReplyDeleteThe sunset is fantastic!! You are so lucky to live surrounded by such beauty...Like in a fairytale... Are there other people, living nearby?
ReplyDeleteso glad you enjoyed the sunset, me too. today is cloudy, i doubt we will have a glimpse of light.
Deleteyes, i do have neighbors. not a lot, we all have different amounts of land and that keeps space between us. I have a 20 minute drive to get to town. Not bad to have the wilderness experience with only a 20 min. drive.
Blue skies against snow makes for such beautiful photo ops. That last shot is my favourite.
ReplyDeletethe last shot is my favorite too.
Deletelovely week to you.
thank you everyone for your lovely messages and for visiting!
ReplyDeleteNice series, and yes, patches of blue sky are a rare sight these winter days.
ReplyDeleteLove that last shot.
Beautiful. Sun and fresh snow are the ultimate combination!
ReplyDeleteAll are so serene and beautiful, especially the last scene, which talks to me to straighten up even in the cold and the dreams of the next day. Stay warm, and take care, Tammie.

...these are gorgeous, Tammie. The last photo looks like something out of National Geo! You live in a magical place...the forest in snow...so beautiful. In the winter we can go weeks with no color, just gray, overcast skies, and when the sun finally peaks through and the blue sky appears...what a gift! Sounds like that is what you're experiencing this winter. For us, our snow level is very low...almost none at all. I miss it, and I enjoyed seeing all of your snow! I loved all the snowflake photos from the previous posts....you're so good at capturing the tiny flakes!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots!
ReplyDeleteHappy day Crissi

ReplyDeleteLove the simple of beauty of snow! All of them are beautiful.Especially the first one is my favorite. The snow laden on the branches are beautiful.
Tammie, as you probably know, I have no fondness for winter despite my Michigan home. But I will always be first to admit that when you see the pristine snow against a brilliant blue sky, it takes my breath away and is truly beautiful. You have captured it so very well. (And that last photo is a Christmas card waiting to happen -- along with the red snowflakes! Just sayin'...)
ReplyDeleteAh...Tammie ♡ Your photo remind me that I really do love winter...even if I am a SUMMER GIRL ;) We'very gad an extremely mild winter here with little snow that left almost as quickly as it came. The last shot isome my most favorite of all of this beauty ♡
