oh my
the dear deer!
just a few days ago
I spotted these two heading across my yard
this little one must have been
just born
that morning
or during the night
it was so tiny
yet so alive
alert
full of instincts and inborn knowledge
such a joy to see!

How wonderful to see this little newborn fawn with her mother heading across your yard! They're quite precious!
ReplyDeleteIt is a scene from nature that is difficult to see. She's very sweet.
ReplyDeleteHave a good one, Tammie.
Tomás.
Such a joy, indeed. <3
ReplyDeleteSo sweet. Nothing cuter than baby animals.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to see! There's not much cuter or prettier than a fawn!
ReplyDeleteWonderful luck to catch this!
ReplyDeleteOh, what a sweet little baby! I'm so glad your camera was close at hand when they came by. Seeing a mom deer is special but seeing a baby fawn, especially one so "fresh" is like a little miracle!
ReplyDeleteSweet, sweet pictures of this little one! You're very fortunate to have spotted them!
ReplyDeleteThank you for enjoying every one!
ReplyDeleteI had the pleasure of glimpsing the fawn this morning for 30 seconds and then it was off into the woods. Spunky little thing!
That is a tiny fawn!
ReplyDeleteyes, so tiny!
Deleteoh my, these two are adorable! thanks for sharing this.
ReplyDeletehave a lovely day.
I agree, adorable!
Deleteso nice!
ReplyDeleteOh, Such a sweet photos you have shown us! The mother and the little baby, they are adorable. The mom deer is beautiful and the baby deer looking around her new world is adorable. Have a lovely new week,Tammie.
ReplyDeleteFun to consider anyone looking around at their new world. Thank you for that.
DeleteOh, what a sweetie! I have only seen one that young. Are they still around your house?
ReplyDeleteWell, their instincts are super enhanced, the mother with a new baby and a baby with a new world. So they are skittish with any movement or sound. I spotted the baby one more time for 20 Seconds. A friend spotted it for a brief moment as well. One has to look out a window at just the right moment.
DeleteYou got some great photos Tammie Lee!!! I'm a huge sucker for deer, in fact, I feel that they are my animal totem, especially the doe. That little one is adorable...such beauty in Nature. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for enjoying the photography. They are a meaningful totem animal to have.
DeleteSuch a beautiful reward for being observant. :)
ReplyDeleteah, thank you. I did notice a doe being slightly more alert than usual, 5 min. later I was rewarded with her walking her new born across my yard, which is basically wilderness.
DeleteHow absolutely glorious. What a privilege to see. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThe dearest deer thing EVER! Seriously, to watch such a beautiful thing puts many life issues in the right proportion - I think... :-)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos! How sweet they are! Yes so tiny and yet so on the alert! Charming to see them, thank you!
ReplyDeleteLovely captures Tammie....thank you for sharing this
ReplyDelete....and what a unique yard you have!
Wishing you a wonderful week,
Ruby
Dear Tammie - How adorable the newly born fawn is! Indeed, the photos show “It was so tiny yet so alive, alert, full of instincts and inborn knowledge.” You’re so lucky to be able to see the mother and baby in your yard and made me want to go and see fawns myself. From mid-May through June is delivery season of deer in Nara Park, too.

Me and my daughters also have a blog, and we would love it if you could visit us and follow. I would certainly come back and follow you as well. It's nice to meet new friends.
