such a lovely surprise to wake
to
the first snow
to slip on boots
and
head out to be part of the snow clad morning
it is all melted now
but
I am left with a reminder to get autumn chores completed
before winter arrives

sucre en poudre... beau, mais tôt! biz
ReplyDeleteIT seems early, but we often get a snow around now. It does not stay.... thank goodness, not quite ready in a number of ways.
DeleteAh! That first snow is so exciting! It looks so pretty but is quite early!
ReplyDeleteyes, exciting, but it is already gone, which is perfect as i have many chores to do.
DeleteHere in Spain, this year we are more delayed than other years, has not yet entered the autumn´s temperatures, summer is giving its last sighs.
ReplyDeleteHave a good one, Tammie!.
Tomás
I am guessing autumn will be welcome with your hard summer of fires.
DeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteWe can see the first flakes this month. The nights are getting cooler.
Here too, days too. Autumn is in full swing!
DeleteI love that you still have some fall color, too! Yes, that first snow a couple weeks ago here in Breck had us scrambling! This week and next sunshine here - I like it!
ReplyDeleteYes, scrambling can happen. Still have more to do, but looks like some decent weather is coming in a couple of days.
DeleteI love the snow on the fall colors. So pretty.
So pretty!!
ReplyDeleteI think so too. It did melt away yesterday.
DeleteBut new snow arrived over night.
This is a sight to behold, Tammie. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful part of the world.
ReplyDeleteblessings,
Penny
You are welcome Penny, thank you for enjoying it!
DeleteWow, is that ever pretty! Definitely a reminder!
ReplyDeleteIndeed a reminder. More snow arrived last night, it also is melting away. More chores to address.
DeleteYour house looks beautiful, and even more special in the snow. It reminds me of my father's house that we inherited last year. We hope to be moving there in about a year's time.
ReplyDeleteI wish you a wonderful time at your Father's home.
DeleteIt's beautiful Tammie Lee...this is just around the corner for us too. I really do love where you live, love your home. Actually Alex and I high-tailed it in the yard and garden today to prep for winter because we're already having a lot of frosty nights. We left it later than we wanted this year, but got it all done! All five dogs watching us the whole time lol! Things really are getting easier with them day by day thankfully! And not a peep from their owner for the last week, sigh...our gain, his loss right?
ReplyDeleteI love where I live too ;-)
DeleteFun that you got out and got your chores done. Such a good feeling.
I am glad that you all are adjusting to your larger family.
Sounds like their owner has moved on.
Oh ... so early comes the snow - the cold season - beautiful pictures!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the weekend
Crissi
Yes, it is cold out. Sometimes we get an indian summer with warmer days, but not so much this autumn.
Deletesigh....is this early Tammie?
ReplyDeletelove
This commonly happens this time of year. The snow did melt away. My lawn is green again. But winter will come.
DeleteQUE FALTA HACE ACA UNA NEVADA ASI!!!
ReplyDeleteTENEMOS UNA SEQUIA ESPANTOSA.
TUS FOTOS SON PRECIOSAS.
SALUDITOS
Thank you Alicia ~
DeleteOh wow. We're sweltering and you get snow. :D Way to go!
ReplyDeleteIt was a bit shocking to go from 90F to 40F! snow is gone now. Wishing you weather that feels good to you.
DeleteYour haven is almost unbearably beautiful -- so fresh, so lovely.
DeleteSo very very pretty!
ReplyDeleteDear Tammie - First snow is so exciting to us regardless of our age. Your place is a wonderland with the dusting of snow. The gold yellow adds special ambience different from the monochrome-like winter snow-scape.
ReplyDeleteYoko
You had your first snow already, how wonderful. Love this picture of the bridge and the Autumn tree in the distance, Tammie Lee. You live in such a beautiful area, and it is a dream of mine to live in the mountains someday, or at least have a place to retreat there. : )
ReplyDelete~Sheri
Hi Sheri,
DeleteYes it arrived and melted away, two days in a row.
We are back to greenish grass and autumn colors with beautiful light and long shadows. Not quite ready for winter.
It is very beautiful here and living in this wee cabin is a dream come true. Perhaps your dream will come true some day as well.
Oh wowness, the magic of snow!Such gorgeous photos, so blissful and peaceful!I love your magical world, so pure and uplifting.. nature is so majestic, thanks for capturing the beauty always!
