Winter in February

as we lean towards spring
each snowfall inspires my smiles
taking to heart winter's spirit

breath-enhancing sunsets.....

morning ice crystals
made of fairy wings

rocks under faceted ice
make ones heart sing

celebrated my birthday at one of my beloved places

stayed for the alpine glow sunset

the first sunset in this post is of the night before
very similar sunsets
and
so beautiful

the sweet little birds
that stay with us all winter

~

lovely end of winter to you!

  2. Well, Happy Birthday to you. You have got to live in one of our most beautiful states, and you display it well. We are getting ready for a snow in the mountains, and rain here along the coast storms. I know we still have March to go, but I already feel a bit of spring.

    1. I agree, such a beautiful area! We got more snow today. But somehow there is a tiny bit of spring in it.... Maybe it is my imagination.

  4. Happy birthday, Tammie! How blessed you are to be celebrated by these fascinating nature. Ice flower crystal is the one I long for to see. My favorite is the “breath-enchanting” sunset with the rosy snow-caps of the mountains, which made me feel like gazing at till everything sinks into darkness.

  5. There is nothing quite so endearing, and profoundly moving in its own way, than having a bird alight on your hand to feed. The level of trust is palpable, and such contact with wild creatures can be life-changing for some.
