Our first snow of the season
landed on trees that still have autumn leaves
a mix of autumn and winter
striking to see golden leaves in a nearly black and white realm
I wonder what deer think of the change of season?
morning two of the snowstorm
covered us even deeper in snow
offering a mystical and magical white realm
~
How beautiful everything is! Pretty golden leaves floating in the water and a surprised deer looking right at you!
ReplyDeleteMy yard, a wonderful place. Thank you.
DeleteSnow always looks more beautiful where you are! It is, as you said, magical and mystical. Just a smile -- each photo is a holiday card!
ReplyDeleteI think snow is beautiful in nature, but not as much in city streets. Thank you Jeanie ~
DeleteSo beautiful! The first snow always feels like a new world arriving, promising all kinds of opportunities for cozy treats.
ReplyDeleteI'm a little surprised that it's arrived so early for you. Around here, it's warm enough that we're still going barefoot, still pretending that summer might never end.
Yes, a new world, well said. Going barefoot sounds nice. The first snow was right on time for our area. But we got more than usual.
DeleteWow, snow.
ReplyDeleteThat is early.
It's not that cold here in the Netherlands yet.
Beautiful pictures Tammie
For here the snow is on time. But often it melts away. A lot has melted, but the ground is still white and the trees are back to green.
DeleteJust like a peace of heaven here. What beautiful snow photos! All these photos would make wonderful Christmas cards.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing!
Thank you for enjoying Penny.
DeleteSnow already? It's lovely view though.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day.
Yes, it was a good snowfall, meaning quite a bit, but has not snowed since. My fire is going! Lovely day to you too.
Andrea
You are most likely right about the deer. So nice that you found me here. It inspires me to try and post here more often.
DeleteSo magical!! We got snow in the mountains too. Hopefully more to come so our lakes and streams will fill up again.

Yes, you will get snow, winter has just begun and in some places it is still autumn.
DeleteOh Tammie Lee, it is such a delight to see your first snow. You got quite a bit! We had our first snow also, but it was only a dusting of snow, and we usually get much more in December and January. That deer photo is wonderful. I just had one come up my front porch and stayed for a few minutes on my front yard. It was a sight!
ReplyDeleteI truly appreciate your nature photos. They always make my heart sing. Happy Thanksgiving to you, Tammie Lee.

Hi Sheri, We have not gotten any more snow at my elevation. It will come though. Thank you for enjoying the photos. Fun that you also have deer to enjoy. Lovely Thanksgiving to you too.
