Usually,
I think of death
and consider
it might be another great adventure
like life.
Yet
drifting towards sleep,
I found myself in a moment
between awakeness and dreamland.
I had a vision
of leaving awakeness
for death
all was dark as a starless night
empty
void
no one.
Jolted
in the depths
of my heart
I stayed awake
until I fell asleep.

ReplyDeleteI fell into this darkness before too. I am still not certain that it was not a near death experience for me. When I came back and entered my body, It took days for me to actually recover my strength.
