Listen
know that when you ask
then listen
you will hear
the whispers
the call of the soul
they rise from ones heart
a place with the know
some feel it in their
solar plexus, belly or heart
she can come with the wind
a flower or music of a harp
she speaks ancient truths
still in sync with now
know that when you ask
then listen
you will hear
~
Very lovely macros. Love the rain dripping off the first pic & love the pretty star shape of the second.
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday!
Wonderful affirmation and statement of faith/truth. The blue flowers definitely look like ears that hear.
ReplyDeleteThe blue flowers are exquisite.
ReplyDeleteTo know what we ask and then listen....is to learn.
ReplyDeleteI think we trust those 'calls' from the 'inners' because there seems nothing better to be drawn from our own reasoning.
ReplyDeleteBeats flipping a coin. :-)
..
BTW, I've 'heard' them calling from my solar plexus and sometimes even from my belly. Not a good feeling! It is kin to worry?
..
Tammie you do the most amazing things with water! Always an amazing eye girl!! Lovely words too!!
ReplyDeleteI found Macro Mondays a week or so back and thought it would be fun to do...so happy to find you here too!!
Hugs, Sarah

ReplyDeleteThe first picture is delightful. It has that little something extra that breathes magic and wonder.
ReplyDeleteSo much beauty! I really enjoyed this one Tammie. And, I agree with your poem.
ReplyDeleteHi Everyone,
ReplyDeleteLaughing: thank you
Paschal: I love looking at the flowers as listening, thank you
Susan: your appreciation touches me
Sandy: I agree
Jim: For me there is a presence in the 'inners' that gets my attention. Fun that you mentioned the voice in the solar plexus and belly. I agree, those two are often not comfy, the often point out what we are not honoring. So there is usually resistance to work through.
Sarah: Fun to see you join macro M.
Inky: lovely to have you stop by. I enjoy Susan's blog too!
Rose: ;-}
Sabrina: Thank you for appreciation!
Tricia: Thank you for your visits!
Jasmine: You made me take the photo in again. Thank you.
4 winds: Thank you!
Very true words expressed in a lovely way. Beautiful photographs!
ReplyDeleteJust observing the raindrops on the flower made me want to touch it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful - first the crying flowers, then the one radiating joy. Your poetry always rings true for me and your photos are also a gift.
ReplyDeleteVery well put. Great words.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful! Your combinations of words and pictures are just breathtaking. It's a tiny break like a peaceful moment of the day to visit you.
ReplyDeleteBoth lovely shots, but the blue bells are simply gorgeous! I love that blue color, and the waterdrops!
ReplyDeleteAnd as always you speak so true!
Your photos are always so peaceful. So full of color and feeling. Your poetry is perfect ... both contemplative and serene. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI'm listening and seeing and I love it all here :)
ReplyDeleteI liked this one very much. I really found the use of "solar plexus" particularly grabbed me.
ReplyDeleteKat
Beauty flows from your images and your words. Thank you:)
ReplyDeleteA lovely verse to accompany spectacular photos! I like that the poem has an interesting visual look. I like how you link the "when you ask/then listen" -- all too often we forget to listen after we ask.
ReplyDeleteWhat brilliant flower photos - I am listening for sure!
ReplyDeleteThe Paintbrush has to be my favorite, you did an excellent job!
ReplyDeleteThe first shot is exceptionally beautiful! Nice poetry as well.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful. I am listening...

What gorgeous pics and lovely words.
ReplyDeleteYou always find the right things!
The first shot really is like a dream!
Beautiful words and images Tammie. The first image is particularly evocative - each time I look at it I hear silence punctuated only by raindrops.
ReplyDeleteJanice.
This is really beautiful. I love that first pic also. I think when we listen to that inner voice it can be felt by many in the solar plexus, heart. Well done. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteHow the beauty of your words also take on the beauty of your image. The shape of your poem mimics the bloom on your flowers. How beautifully complete.
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely. I know what the feeling is from the belly or heart.
ReplyDeleteYou always have such different and unique flowers...so pretty
ReplyDeleteI only seem to be able to find the same 3 on my hikes and I think they're weeds
Beautiful writing!!! Love the pictures! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the droplets in the first picture! Lovely
ReplyDeleteTammie your writing and sentiments are so very beautiful, a pleasure to read paired with your lovely photos is certainly a treat! We have the flowers in your first photo growing in the garden and they remind me of fairy flowers.
ReplyDeleteNice photos and I believe nature such as this does help one listen to what the soul has to say. ;-)
ReplyDeleteTo choose to listen, really listen, is to realize much more is going on than you readily assume. To peel away the layers of noise distractions brings you face-to- face with all you ever wish for. The blue poppy on the cover of my Self-Disclosure: Changes from Within book reminds me of the depth of the blue flowers here. They speak to us in a language we already know and understand.
ReplyDeleteDrops of dew on a bed of blue starting a new day. Your photo’s and poetry are, simply put, Beautiful. You capture the essence of life in your photo’s and you speak of Truth of Life in your words. Listen..
ReplyDelete“she can come with the wind
a flower or music of a harp
she speaks ancient truths
still in sync with now”
Listen, listen, listen…. You say it so well… Thank you for sharing your beauty and wisdom. Love and Light, Nina P.
Love seeing the water dripping from the blue (like it is losing it's color). Your poem makes me think of yoga and meditation. I feel that sometimes.
ReplyDeleteLovely pic and nice words.....
ReplyDeletethe heart opening to itself. lovely!
ReplyDeleteLovely shots!
ReplyDeleteI really like the hanging raindrops - nice work!
As always your poetry is wonderful to read and experience.
Lovely macro flowers and wonderful reminder for us all. Thanks so much.
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
Isn't "solar plexus" wonderful term?! It brings a burst of light into the middle of the poem despite just being an anatomical part of the body.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that just the way it is!
ReplyDeleteGreat explanation.
Your lovely work always wants multiple readings and the accompanying photos remain in sight. Thanks, as always, for a wonderful visit...
ReplyDeleteSpiritual and inspiring take on inner voice. I guess that's where gut feel comes from.
