within each day
winter to spring
winter to spring
then
spring to winter
these two dance
back and forth
twirling
curtsy and bow
they flit and fly about one another
a squall of snow flurries
ice and melt
piles of hail that pummel and pelt
sun that shines
clouds wild masterpieces
hints of warmth most days
before long Spring
winter to spring
winter to spring
then
spring to winter
these two dance
back and forth
twirling
curtsy and bow
they flit and fly about one another
a squall of snow flurries
ice and melt
piles of hail that pummel and pelt
sun that shines
clouds wild masterpieces
hints of warmth most days
before long Spring
shall reign

You've captured them perfectly both in poetry and photo. I like the changing skies of April! Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteYes, the dance between winter and spring is in full swing here in Coarsegold..yesterday we had rain sleet, snow and several blast from the sun....Tis the season to dress in layers!
ReplyDeleteYour clouds are gorgeous...driving up the hill from Fresno the other day, I thought of you and what you could have captured with you magic eye. The clouds were big, white and fluffy, the sky clear and blue, snow capped mountains, green, green grasses and wild flowers...I almost had to pull over...hug, hug

Julie~
How lovely that you thought of me when you witnessed nature's beauty. Your world sounds wonderful. Our grasses are not green and there are no flowers. Our hints of spring are migrating animals, waking animals and the freeze and thaw of ice.
