Like a Stone

silently
piled along the shore
cloaked in their finest ice
and a few snowflakes
stones in multitudes of colors
gold silver mauve lavender steel blues
and awesome grays
sitting amongst them I became as a rock
simply another stone
silently resting along the shore

  29. Each stone is a life ... sometimes I think they have souls ...
    They are so beautiful ...
I have devotion to the rocks ... sometimes, I take home the soap up, put them in water, paint ... and are always with me.
    Thanks, so much beauty...
    A hug!

They do so look like Scottish stones.
The rapid way technology is advancing, perhaps one day soon we'll be able to analyse the history and movement of our geological stuff with a simple scanner.
I've just recently discovered Geology dot com and it's fascinating.

  35. Never have I seen anything like this! Thanks for sharing these lovely photos Tammie. I especially love the tiny stars of ice on the grey pebble just right of centre in the first image, and I didn't notice that each pebble is transformed into an ice cube until I read your words.
    Wishing you a lovely week.
