  4. Did I tell you my maternal grand ma's village got so drunk with the mushroom, they were "dead " for 3 days except my grandma, because her ferocious mum in law won't let her eat any, like cook. Grand ma always joked, I wish the tigress had died.

    Count me in too.

A couple of years ago my wife and I gathered several pounds of morel mushrooms in the woods a few miles from where we live. We invited people over to share in the feast.

  9. Mushrooms!! We've been having a lot of rain, shrooms are starting to pop up everywhere. Beautiful. Love the squirrel storage shelf!

  10. I had to giggle at the squirrel storage shelf too. And the morel - wow! We used to find them all over the place here, but not for many years. This year we had one growing right outside the front door, though!

I always feel that the mushrooms have personalities, and can't resist photographing nearly every one I see! My mushroom file is nearly full!!!

  11. That highly-sought mushroom is too beautiful to eat! I didn't know squirrels snack on them. I have learned plenty here today.

And your taste in earrings is fab!

  13. Oh what a beautiful series of photos. I agree with Sandy.. it's too beautiful to eat. Unless they're as good as everyone says. ;) This is a lovely giveaway. Thanks for holding it.

  14. That morel made my mouth water. How I love to gather and eat wild mushrooms. If we don't get some rain soon there won't be any shrooms come fall.

As much as I love jewelry I find that handmade box even more intriguing. I'm in for your giveaway.

  15. Hi Tammie, I am sitting up at a ridiculously early hour, trying to write school reports. I have taken time to come and wander along your forest floor and now feel better for the change of scene.

Aren't fungi lovely. They are such amazing organisms. Thanks for being there, you are a tonic for the spirit.

  33. Delicious and gorgeous, it's like I can feel the smell of the fresh ground of woods and mushrooms, on a rainy day.. :)

We're having heavy rain today.. but the sun is glimmering behind the clouds, fighting to strech out its glorious wings.. but rain is also good I think, the air and the smell is always so fresh after rain.. :)
