Wowness..these are such exquisite creatures..such a gift.. your photos are pure beauty Tammie..magical treasures! the third photo of the butterfly that looks like tree bark to me..is in a painting i recently did..I wonder what kind it is! How cool! Thanks for this blissful post...stunning photos..hugs! V~
What a cornucopia of butterflies. There are so many and so lovely each one is. I am glad your Montana Lepidopetera have survived well, our poor UK ones have had a dreadful year.
What amazing butterflies and how well you have captured them! I have a soft spot for the little blue and the yellow... but the first one in a fur coat is amazing! The third one looks like a piece of old tree bark - what a fantastic camouflage! This is a lovely series! Sandra
These are wonderful. Montana has some very unique butterflies . . . some seem to be wearing fur coats! My favorite is the one which looks exactly like tree bark . . . that's some great camouflage. Your photography is flawless.
Beautiful collection of butterflies! Your photos do them justice! For some reason I have photographed only a few this year, but I sure enjoyed seeing these!
Butterflies of Montana ... Pure poetry ... Friend, how much beauty there is in your world ... I see blue wings, inspiration, brown wings, bathed in golden sun ... Green wings ... hope ... Vagaries of nature that produce a great peace to the beholder. Thank you for this photographic work ... lay the soul and I'm happy ... much.
TL - the butterflies are breathtaking; and the fact that you captured them in photos is just amazing - pure genius. The contrast of the blue butterflies against the mud - amazing. B
Oh, Tammie, what beauty! Thank you! You are blessed to live among such a variety of flora and fauna! The butterflies are magnificent! The light blue and yellow ones are so tender, but the third one is stunning! I'm just wondering how does this environment influence you? Do you think you have changed for the best? I suppose that you learn a lot of new things not only about nature, but about you as well...:))
Well, it took me a couple of visits before I finally decided to take a look at your butterflies. As pretty as they are in real life (about 2 meters or so away from me!), I knew looking at your images will take guts. I must say I found the blue one rather stunning...but the next one after that got my skin crawling! LOL! At least I got to the comment part, right? :))
Whitefish is the most beautiful town I've ever seen in my life. I was this summer in July at the railway museum and in the main street, I can not forget it. From Madrid.
Hi Tammie, Excellent captures of so many different varieties of butterflies. Amazing detail. I always long for a macro lens when I see your photos! Thanks for stopping by my blog to say hi... I still have not been blogging much, but it is always nice to read your comments! I am off to look at all your photography I have missed :)
Dear Tammy, I love seeing the butterflies that grace your Montana's wildflowers. I love birds and bees and blooms but my heart belongs to the butterflies! Sherry, who is praying for rain
Tammie, as always you are a master at capturing the true beauty of all that surrounds you. This is a great collection of butterflies! I especially love the texture of the third one, so cool!
