Slow down is always my motto especially in the woods camera and binocks in hand. You native orchid photo is stunning though I don't know the variety. We have yellow here and our state flower the showy pink ladyslipper....:)
hi troutbirder, i often put what things are in the tags at the bottom of each post. the orchid is called a Calypso or Fairy Slipper. Smaller in size than most Lady Slippers. thank you for your kind message.
Gorgeous shots, Tammie and that wild orchid is so delicate and beautiful. I love the way nature makes us slow down and enjoy all the little details that enter our line of vision when we do so!
Oh, I'm fascinated by these tiny BIG wonders!!! Thank you, Tammie for discovering them!:) I have never seen such a mushroom.......... We are happy to live on such a beautiful planet!!
I see you photographed the shy Calypso - what a beauty. I wonder if we have morel mushrooms in my woods? I must keep an eye out for them. There is still plenty of white in my backyard and into the National Forest. However, most of the moisture forecast for this week is supposed to come as rain. I love all the macro shots, Tammie.
hi Barb, so loving the Calypso right now! Morels mostly grow in areas where there was a forest fire the previous year. But they will pop up once anywhere, like this one did. We got some rain yesterday which made us all happy, things were really drying out around here. May your snow melt and flowers bloom.
Hello!! Such beauty in your world. Incredible shots. The first two picts exceptional! And your words always speak to me! Hope all is wonderful for you. Sending care Kelly
You are absolutely right! When you look carefully you find wonders, and the morilla is certainly very special and yummy but the orchid or orchid-like flower is exquisite, how elegant and gracious! Glad you like our blog about dragonflies, more and more it attracts enthusiasts passionate about these insects and happy to publish their beautiful photos! I wish a great weekend with a better weather than ours :)
