wandering through the forest
cloaked in shades of green
a glimpse of violet and gold
the tiny fairy slipper
it is always a joy to see them
like magic sprinkled here and there
these are all the same orchids
photographed in morning sun, sunset, wind blew them apart,
wind blew them together:
kissing
heart shaped
orchids
~
i hope you enjoyed
the lovely calypso orchid

ReplyDeleteI like your naming “kissing heart shaped orchids”, Tammie. I imagined their trying to kiss again and again in the blowing wind. Different light bathes each orchid in a special glow.

Goodness - these are lovely shots of the Calypso, Tammie. How lucky that you found them blooming! Two of the Grands and I walked the trail last weekend to the spot where they sometimes grow. There were none blooming, but I intend to go again in a couple days - I think I saw the beginnings of tiny leaves. The light in your photos is wonderful.
