a forest of autumn leaves
as a colorful backdrop
pods burst
seeds take flight
holding life
within each fairy-like light
thrilled
with the design
the dance
of each
every plant
promises
of next springs new life

Oh Tammie, these simply make me gasp! (Lizzie wondered if I was going to point her toward the birds because a gasp, followed by "Birds, Lizzie!" always gets her excited. These are magical. Your camera is spot on, but so, too, is your magnificent eye!

ReplyDelete...definitive images of autumn (the photos and the poem!). I love seeing the silky seed plumes. (Fireweed is rare around our area. Glad you get to see it!)

Awesome photos!!
ReplyDeleteFireweed is a very remarkable plant. I'll never forget my first encounter with one. I brushed against it on the trail in Glacier National Park and sent the little angel feathers soaring. It was so surprising to me. I didn't know those pretty red plants would do THAT. Now I marvel at them whenever our paths cross. Lovely post. Thanks.

ReplyDeleteBreathtaking poetic photography, Tammie! There’s obviously a lot of synergy between your images and words. You captured the fantastic moment with the spotlight on the each seed taking off with a dream. The seeds will be hidden till next spring to amaze us with natural wonders.
