gorgeous autumn weather beckoned
come camp in me
trails enticed to be walked on
the colors were thrilling
literally
leaves illumined
offered sunlight
with gentle brilliance
paths as sacred trails
to take one deeply into the land
sweet clouds appeared around mountain tops
like breath
the sort of
weather
color
and
walk
one dreams of in autumn
~
I feel so thankful to have been there

DeleteMy dad use to tell us that when we were little.
Beautiful as ever. Your seasons are ahead of ours just now. There are few signs of autumn here just now.

ReplyDeleteFabulous images of gorgeous scenery, and delightful words to accompany them. Thank you for enriching my day, and for your kind comment on my blog - - - Richard
ReplyDeleteDear Tammie - I think I know how you can’t help being thankful surrounded by such a splendor of autumn. Leaves look luminous, sunlit by heaven or with the energy from inside? I wonder. Thank you for sharing with us such a beauty.
ReplyDeleteYoko
We are behind you with the fall colors but not by long I'm sure. Your's is truly beautiful ♥
ReplyDelete-happy sigh-
ReplyDeleteOur changing leaves are not supposed to be as vibrant this year, in the NE. So it will be wise, for me, to notice all of them, as they happen. :-))))
And I love, love, love sunlight illuminating golden leaves (your lovely photo!). Actually, I may love more, the way golden leaves can seem to glow, even on cloudy days!

You caught the essence of fall in the mountains, Tammie. Each step brings the thrill of an autumn landscape. It must have been chilly to camp!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful scenes! You are having a very pretty Fall this year!
ReplyDeleteHi Barb,
DeleteTurns out that night time was not cold at all! I sleep in my van and was prepared with my huge doubled over down comforter and a big blanket too…. but only needed one. 49F at night and 76F the day I took those photos. When the weather is good, then I get going ;-)
What dazzling blue and golds! Oh, yes. Very thankful (and I'm thankful for you, too, and all you share!)
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots of where you lie and all the gorgeous autumn colours. I especially love that third photo of the trees so beautifully illuminated! The autumn colours have not yet come here, but there is an autumn chill in the air and it won't be long!
ReplyDeleteI'll bet it is hard to stay indoor this season. Every shot is beautiful, but that third one is a real stunner.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous fall colours. We're just starting to see good colours, but it'll be a week or more before we're peaking.
ReplyDeleteWow Tammie, this is pure magic, land bathed in golden light!
ReplyDeleteI can only imagine how beautiful it is to walk here....
Lovely photos!
Ruby
The autumn colours are beautiful Tammie. Gorgeous golds. Is the maple tree not indigenous to your area ... I see no reds?
ReplyDeleteWishing you a lovely new week. x
Gorgeous these photos - really I breathe deeply - feeling thankful for such wonders, always...
